I tried manual removal via regedit and manually deleting app files…however every video tutorial was different, the virus has varities and the files shown in each video were different than the files on my computer. I even tried auto removal programs with no luck…Finally I put in safe mode with networking and just used system restore to a point before the virus…restarted my router…and it is completely gone :)

This message scared the fuck outta me. But if your able to you can restore your computer to an earlier date if it does automatic back ups. That’s what I did and it’s working good.

Please help me. I cannot run safe mode with networking. The only safe mode I can open is with command prompt. Also, I do not see anything like you point out in this video. I have windows xp and it looks a little different, but I do no see anything similar to what you are pointing out.

I cannot run safe mode with networking. My computer boots and asks for my password. Once I type it I get the white screen with “page will load in 30 seconds”. The only safe mode I can open is with command prompt. Ideas?

  20. 2viruses says:

Mark: Run safe mode with command prompt. There, run explorer.exe
Then run regedit and search for shell variable. If the shell variable is not explorer.exe or blank, change it to explorer.exe. Reboot.

If you’re unable to get into it with safe mode, attempt a system restore. To do this, press F8 after your manufacture splash (logo) screen when your computer is starting up. Select “Repair My Computer”. After it loads, click “System Restore” and as long as you have a previous restore point, you can load back to before you got the infection.

I’m having the same problem as most of the people in newest comments.. Even in safe mode the virus is still able to block my screen, but it never loads. I think it updated again to be able to block you in safemode. Would appreciate a new tutorial or at least some help combatting the new hybrid.
